Adrián Gaitán
Cali, Colombia. 1983
Beca ÉXITO Artist graduated from the Fine Arts School of Cali. He was director of the VanityPlast magazine of Fine Arts and of the ¾ space of contemporary art, 2007 – 2008. He was part of the artists’ collective EL CAMIÓN  that exhibited in different cities in Colombia, 2005 a 2009. Currently he organize lunches in the Cali river, perform solo and participate in collective exhibitions in museums, garages, fallow fields, houses, parks in Colombia and other countries, selected: ARCO Colombia 2015, Madrid;  10 Bienal of Mercosur, Portoalegre; and the 41, 42 and 43 version of the Salón Nacional de Artistas. He has participated in artistic residencies at Cité Internationale des arts, Paris; Hotel Maria Kapel, Holanda; La Agencia, Bogotá; and Casa Tres Patios, Medellín. Currently, and parallel to his individual work, he is part of the collective CIRCULAR PRESENTS, where he explores a hybrid field between cultural management, and artistic and curatorial practice.
Ana Maria Devis

Artista residente media becaShe Studied visual arts at University of The Andes in Bogotá. Participated in Camnitzer Studio in Lucca, Italy, studying printmaking; and studied set design at the University of Sao Paulo. Later she worked at J.C. Serroni studio executing several of his productions. Currently she is doing research about the culture of braided hairstyles within afrodescendant communities as maps, non verbal languages and topographies that showed their escape routes during the times of slavery.
Christian Salablanca Díaz
Heredia, Costa Rica. 1990
Beca Luis Javier CastroBachelor of Arts and Visual Communication with distinction Cum laude in Sculpture of the National University of Costa Rica. From 2014 to 2016 he was part of TEOR/ética, in the area of ​​exhibition assembly and library in Lado V of TEOR / ética.Individually has exhibited in TERMINAL Open Studio (2015); Museum of Contemporary Art and Design; and Alianza Francesa de San José, in Costa Rica. Collectively, he has participated in exhibitions in Central America, USA and Colombia, among other countries.
In 2016, he received the Scholarship of self publishing Mexico by Arts Collaboratory in Crater invertido; obtain 2nd place in the National Ceramic Triennial; Participated in the artistic residency RAPACES in Nicaragua. Has received several awards in the  Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica.

Cristina Rodríguez
Bogotá, Colombia. 1980

She studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States and more recently completed the Masters of Visual Arts at the National University of Colombia in Bogotá. Her work spans across various mediums, crafts and techniques, but centers on drawing and language as a way to observe, reflect and comment her everydayness and context as it is being lived. This patchwork made up by fragments of personal histories weaves a tapestry that reveals a heterogenous, global and mobile humanity, transformed by migrations, exile and change, and which is forever seeking some sort of roots, of connection and sense of identity.

Cynthia Kampelmacher

Artista Residente media becaShe has had several exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows in Argentina, Estados Unidos, México, among others. She has received relevant awards and grants including those for art production and national and international art residencies by National Ministry of Culture, National Fund for the Arts, Argentina; Banff Centre for the Arts-Canada, Carolina Foundation-Arg. And J. Llopis-Panama. She has received the 1st Prize of National Biennial of Contemporary Art, MACBBA, and the 2nd. Prize of the National Contest Finochietto. Her works are in the public collections of Museum of Contemporary Art MACRO Rosario, MAC Tucumán, MAC Bahía Blanca, La Rural Foundation, and in others relevant private collections in Argentina, Panama, Italy, USA, Belgium, Canada, Chile and Spain.

Daniel Lara Ballesteros
Monterrey, México. 1976

Graduated in Visual Arts from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. He began his career in sound exploration using acoustic, digital and analogical resources, alternating in different disciplines where sound is the main axis. In a self taught way, he learned open code and sound design. Also studied buddhist philosophy with the monks and masters of the Shechen monastery, and sound therapy at the Institución Española de Sonoterapia. He participated in festivals of experimental sound in Mexico, in the Contemporary Art Festival ARCO in Madrid and in the Luminaria Arts Festival in San Antonio Texas. His sound material has been presented and published in the United Kingdom, United States, Japan and Spain. In 2002 he was resident artist by the Colombian ministry of culture and Conaculta Mexico.

David Guarnizo

Beca Seinjet

Artist and Specialist in Photography graduated from the National University of Colombia. He is currently a candidate for Magister in Arts Education at the same institution. He has participated in collective exhibitions such as the Artecámara pavilion of the Bogotá International Art Fair, ARTBo, the seventh Young Art Hall in the Nogal Club Gallery , Fotográfica Bogotá and the Feria del Millón. In 2014 he made his first solo exhibition within the framework of the 15 Regional Artist Salons, at the Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá, MAMBO. He has been winner of several grants and open calls such as National Artistic Residencies, Grants for laboratories of art creation in El Parqueadero, among others to develop Seedbeb of Research and Creation and projects for Mediation of Art.

Fátima Rodrigo

Studied sculpture at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and took part of Flux Factory’s Residency in New York, 2015. She has performed solo shows in places like Galería Lucía de la Puente, Lima; UNAP, Glasgow International Festival, Glasgow; Garúa, Lima; Centro Cultural Ricardo Palma, Lima; and Centro Cultural Ricardo Palma, Lima. Her work has venid included in various collective shows at: El Cuarto de Máquinas, Ciudad de México; Bisagra, Lima; Flux Factory, New York; Arte BA, Buenos Aires; Centro Cultural PUCP, Lima; Centro Cultural Bellas Artes, Lima; Museo of  Modern Art of Amberes(MUhKA) and Ostrale 012, Dresden.

Flavia Mielnik
São Paulo, Brasil. 1982

She received her Bachelor of Arts from Fundação Álvares Penteado in São Paulo, and her Master of Art in Investigation and Creation from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. Has solo exhibitions in institutions such as Museo de Arte Ribeirão Preto, and Zipper Galeria, São Paulo, and participated in group exhibitions in Brasil and Madrid.

Since 2006  Flavia has developed Site Specific intervention projects. Has received several awards in Brazil and her work is included in the following collections: Instituto de la Juventud Injuve; Acervo SESC de Arte Brasileira and Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto (MARP). In 2016, she took part in an artist-residency COMUNITARIA in Argentina. Since 2014 she has conducted workshops for artistic intervention in various places in Brazil.   

Johannes Willi
Basel, Suiza. 1983

He studied at the ZHdK in Zurich, Art Institute at the Academy of Art and Design in Basel, and KUVA in Helsinki. He is co-founder and artistic director of the I Never Read, Art Book Fair Basel and is part of the artists’ collective Juice & Rispetta that exhibited at Parallel Events Manifesta 11 Zürich, Index Art Book Fair at the Museo Jumex in Mexico City, Urgent Paradise, Lausanne and so forth. From 2011 – 2013 he run the exhibition space Hinterhof Offspace in Basel.

Currently he shows a solo exhibition at Kunstmuseum Basel Gegenwart. He realized several individual exhibitions in Switzerland and he was awarded the Manor Art Award, soundzzzz.zz.zzz Award by Lucerne Festival and Kunstmuseum Lucerne. In 2016 he got the Atelier Mondial residency stay in Beijing.

Jorge González

Beca Davidoff Art Initiative

Received his BFA from the Puerto Rico School of Visual Arts, 2006. In 2012, he was invited to La Práctica, a nine month residency program at the San Juan based non-profit Beta-Local and has worked with them since to forge pedagogical connections with the public university system of Puerto Rico. He has exhibited internationally including Art Rio in 2012, the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, Die Ecke in Chile, Kunsthalle Osnabruek, Germany, SITELines 2016: New Perspective On the Arts of the Americas, a SITE Santa Fe Biennial, and most recently presented an individual exhibition at Embajada gallery in Puerto Rico.

José Hidalgo-Anastacio

Visual Artist graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico de Artes del Ecuador. He realized personal exhibitions in Galería Lucìa de la Puente, Lima; No-MÍNIMO Espacio Cultural, Guayaquil; Galería Robles+Ponce, Madrid; among others. He also participated in differents collective exhibitions in Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, United States. Winner of the II Nuevo Premio Mariano Aguilera Becas de Producción; the V prize Arcos Dorados in arteBA, Buenos Aires; from the I edition of the art prize Batàn; the V Bienal de Artes no Visuales; and the LII Salón de Julio Fundación Guayaquil.

Juan Gugger

He studied at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and Escuela Provincial de Bellas Artes Martín Santiago in Dean Funes, Córdoba. He attended the programs of Centro de Investigaciones Artísticas and Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Buenos Aires. Recently he has exhibited at spaces such: Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Rosario, Centro Hipermediático Experimental Latinoamericano,  Buenos Aires; Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, Montevideo; CePIA, Córdoba. In 2014 he was a fellowship recipient from the Alec Oxenford Collection, to develop a project at Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, USA. In 2016 he won the fellowship from Colectivo Coleccionismo Federal (Córdoba) to attend the artists program at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.

Kate Morell

Gained her MA at Royal College of Art, London in 2010. Kate Morrell’s practice interlaces drawing, text, sculpture, book works and archival research. Her work is centred around forgotten histories and instances of amateur and inaccurate interpretations of historical material. Her interests in material culture and heritage have led her to engage with disciplines outside of the traditional remits of the arts, including archaeology and geology.

Solo exhibitions include ‘Lustre’ (2015) commissioned by Legion TV, London with Kendal Museum, Cumbria; ‘Pots before words’ (2014), Gallery II, University of Bradford. Recent projects have been realised at the Whitechapel Gallery, London; OUTPOST, Norwich; CCA, Glasgow and The Armitt Museum & Library, Cumbria. In 2014 she was selected for the Jerwood Drawing Prize exhibition.

Lucía Moure
Bogotá, Colombia. 1973

Studied Industrial Design at HEAD in Geneva, Switzerland. After winning the Lissignol Scholarship in Geneva, she specialized at HEAD, focusing on ceramics and the use of polymers. From that moment on, she decided to work mainly through sculpture and installation. She has participated in numerous exhibitions of prestigious institutions in Western Switzerland including the Center for Contemporary Art in Geneva, Villa Bernasconi, Fonderie Kugler, Cabanon UNIL in Lausanne and Maison Visinand in the commune of Montreux.

She realized a residency in New Delhi, India. In 2014, she created and brought to life the curatorial project ”GVA-BOG” in Espacio Odeón of Bogotá.

Maria Clara Figueroa
Bogotá, Colombia. 1988

Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Bogota Jorge Tadeo Lozano Foundation. She studied silversmith and wood at Escuela de Artes y oficios Santo Domingo; she learned jewelry for two years with the jeweler Diego Ramírez (2014-2016) and has been producing art jewelry. She worked as an assistant in the studio of the artist Doris Salcedo.

She has performed solo and participated in several collective exhibitions in Parche Artist Residency, Plataforma Bogotá, Salón comunal y The Warehouse Art, El Odeón, among others. In 2015 and 2016, she was finalist of the 8th and 9th Saloon of Young Art of Colsanitas and the Embassy of Spain. In 2014, she won an artist residency in Taller 7, Medellín.

Mauro Vallejo
Madrid, España. 1981

AC/E – Acción Cultural Española

He has made technical studies of Engraving and Stamp at Escuela de Arte 10 de Madrid. His work has been distinguished with Circuitos de Artes Plásticas de la Comunidad de Madrid award in 2012, he was finalist in the competition Imágenes enlazadas de Photoespaña 2012; accésit INJUVE for young creation 2011, among others.

His last solo exhibition took place in OgamiPress, Madrid, in 2016. Between 2014 and 2016 he had participated in collective exhibitions in cities such as Madrid, Salamanca, Murcia and Bogotá.

She holds a university degree in Fine Arts from Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR). In 2012, she participated in “Programa de Artistas”, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, coordinated by Mónica Girón in Buenos Aires. She was awarded with several grants by Fondo Nacional de las Artes in Argentina to carry out workshops and seminars on the analysis of works. Recently, she published Esculturas, a book included in the collection of Contemporary Photography of the Municipal Editorial of Rosario (Emr, 2016).

She studied Visual Arts at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and Graphic Design at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin. Completed her master’s degree in Communication in Art and Design Royal College of Art, London. Her work is centred around the intimate and physical exploration of territories, and ways of narrating them, mainly through drawing. Her research is currently focused on geology, looking into how art can make poetic translations of its scientific concepts. She currently lives in Bogotá, where she combines her artistic practice with teaching and editing of artists publications on places through her publishing project Nomada Ediciones.

Visual artist graduated from the Diego Portales University, 2015. He has participated in collective exhibitions as: Expo Ganadores of the Matilde Perez Competition of Art and Digital technologies (3rd place students category, 2013); University competition Young Art in the MAC of Quinta Normal,  2014; Simulacro I in the independent space of art “Espacio Falso”; bipersonal exhibition Agua Profunda in Balmaceda Arte Joven Gallery, Santiago de Chile; Caracter in Nicanor Parra library; and Audioficción, part of the sound art festival Tsonami, 2015. Since 2012 he works on production of installation/sound artworks focused in the creation of sound machineries and experimental luther.

Has participated in various group exhibitions in institutions such as Fundación Gilberto Alzate Avendaño, Bogotá; Fundación Botín, Santander, Spain; B-galleria, Turku, Finland; Facultad de Artes y Diseño, Radio, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Taxco, Mexico; Immigration Office, Bremen, Germany; among others.

He won an Honorable Mention for his thesis project: Sedimento, 2015. In April 2016, Díaz was selected by Joan Jonas to participate in Fundación Botín’s (Santander, Spain) Workshop / Residency which was focused on the local landscape of Nansa Valley.

Beca ARTBO-CCB-He has collaborated in  academic events at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogotá, where currently studies arts. He was part of the independent art space EL MENTIDERO, 2013-2016. In 2016, he participated on the residency program of DOSMARES, Marseille, France; and was a member of the piñata collective DELE POR AI. Graduated in Visual Arts with emphasis in audiovisual production from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Specialist in Photography from the National University of Colombia. He has been a resident artist at Casa Tres Patios, Medellín and El Museo del Barrio, Manizales; was part of the official selection of Este: coordenadas itinerantes –15 Salones Regionales Zona Oriente-, II Bienal Desde Aquí, Bucaramanga. He won the 5th Salón Mire, Santander and Salón de Arte Joven FUGA 2015 , Bogotá.

Beca Mondrian

Both hold MA degrees from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam and the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). Are teachers at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.

They have previously attended artist residencies at Capacete in Rio de Janeiro and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Main. They have formed several temporary collectives and collaborations with other makers in Athens and Brazil. They have presented their work in national and international contexts through numerous exhibitions, screenings, performances and lectures in art spaces, institutions and festivals. Together they research the experimental boundaries of visual art through the execution of conceptual projects; moving between applied and autonomous, collaborative and solitary positions.
