Gabinete de Historia no Natural del colectivo compuesto por las artistas Irene Fuga (Italia) y Emma Löfström (Suecia) muestra una colección de hallazgos y especímenes que simulan la exposición de un museo de ciencias naturales del futuro.
Como si fueran antropólogas visuales, Fuga y Löfström utilizan métodos de investigación clasificación y recolección de objetos e imágenes para enseñarnos sobre un ecosistema que no existe y sólo es posible en la imaginación. Por medio de dibujos, esculturas, dispositivos tecnológicos y fotografías encontradas, las artistas intenta recrear el ambiente y los ejemplares de flora y fauna de este territorio inventado.
Gabinete de Historia no Natural hace coexistir imágenes de la historia de la humanidad y de las ciencias naturales con los dibujos y esculturas creados por las artistas para resignificar el sentido de las mismas. De esta forma, el gabinete se activa como una interfaz entre el pasado y el futuro, una reflexión sobre la fugacidad de la existencia humana y su intento por dejar una huella permanente.

The Cabinet of the Non Natural History by the artist Irene Fuga (Italy) and Emma Löfström (Sweden) shows a collection of findings and samples that simulate the exhibition of a futuristic museum of natural sciences.
As if there were visual anthropologists, Fuga and Löfström use methods of investigation, classification and compilation of objects and images to teach us on an ecosystem that doesn’t exist and only is possible in the imagination. With medium of drawings, sculptures, technological devices and mirror-image pictures, the artists are trying to recreate the ambience and the examples of flora and fauna of this fictional territory.
The Cabinet of the Non Natural History makes the images of human history and of the natural science coexist with drawings and sculptures created by the artist to re-mean the same.
So, the Cabinet activates something like an interface between the past and the future, a reflection on the transitoriness of the human existence and its intention for leaving a permanent trace.
