Humanos, expuesta en el Archivo Audible, pretende entablar un vínculo claro entre la voz del pájaro y la posibilidad que el sonido producido por cada especie genera en relación a “poder verlos”.
La voz, en este ejercicio de aproximación al sonido, es presentada como material, como elemento anunciador, como señal, como vínculo que cataliza esa posibilidad de encontrarse más allá de la imagen.
Este primer avistamiento crea una topografía sonora en donde ambas especies, pájaros y humanos, intentan aparecer como frecuencias a escala humana. Cada voz, cada canto registrado, deviene espacio gracias al espectrograma correspondiente.La posibilidad de transformar la voz del pájaro en un dibujo, permite darle al sonido un lugar concreto en medio del mundo humano, no sólo por la aparición de la imagen como traducción del sonido, sino por la misma arquitectura que se desprende de cada canto.
El espectrograma de cada especie es único. Es una huella digital que emerge sobre una línea de tiempo delimitada por la composición, que permite, más allá de la imagen específica de los pájaros, identificarnos a travéz de su voz. Es también una arquitectura invisible que se hace visible gracias a medios digitales, en donde el espacio, el viento y otros factores climáticos hacen oscilar estas estructuras que emergen de una fuente universal llamada ‘Ruido”.
Humanos es la primera entrega de un proyecto de residencia de larga duración en Honda que María José Arjona se encuentra realizando.

Humans, exhibit in the Auditive Archive, tries to make a clear connection between the voice of a bird and the possibility that the sound is preduced from every specie in relacion of “beeing able to see them”.
The voice, in this case, as the convergence to the sound, is presentated as a material, as a announcing element, as a sign or as a connection which make it possible to be beyond the image.
The first work creates a sonorous typography where both species, birds and humans, try to be like frequences to the human scale. Every voice, every registrated singing, happens thanks to the corresponing spectrogram.
The possibilty to transform the voice of a bird into a drawing give it the sound of a concrete place in the middle of the human world – not just for the appearence of an picture like the translation of the sound, but also for the same architecture that removes itselve from every singing.
The spectogram of every species is unique. It is a fingerprint that appears on a timeline – enclosed by the composition, which allows us -more than the specific image of birds – to identify it through its voice. Its also an invisible architecture which made itselve visible thanks to the digital media, where the space, the wind and other climate factors make these structures swing that come up from an universal source named “Noise”.
Humans is the first work of María José Arjona that was made in a long term residence project in Honda.
