Coco Fusco es una artista interdisciplinaria, escritora y Andrew Banks Endowed Professor of Art de la Universidad de Florida. Fusco recibió su licenciatura en semiología de Brown University, su maestría en literatura y pensamiento moderno de Stanford. Recibió la beca Cintas en 2014, la beca Guggenheim en 2013, la beca Fulbright en 2013, la fecha US Artists en 2012, y el premio Herb Alpert de las artes en 2003. Coco Fusco is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and Andrew Banks Endowed Professor of Art at the University of Florida. Fusco received her bachelor’s degree in semiotics from Brown University and her masters in literature and modern thought from Stanford. She received the Cintas grant in 2014, the Guggenheim scholarship in 2013, a Fulbright scholarship in 2013, the USA artists fellowship in 2012, and the Herb Alpert Award in the Arts in 2003. Her performances and videos were included in the 56th Venice Biennial, the 1993 and 2008 Whitney biennials, the Next Wave festival at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, as well as the Sydney, Johannesburg, Kwangju, and Shanghai biennials. Additionally, she has been a participant in the InSite biennial in San Diego/Tijuana, Transmediale in Berlin, the international theater festival in London, VideoBrasil, and Performa05. Her work has been exhibited in the Tate museum in Liverpool, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona. She is represented by Alexander Gray Associates in New York.
